Sandra Keith Boynton (born April 3, 1953) is an American humorist, songwriter, children's author and illustrator. Boynton has written and illustrated more than forty books for both children and adults, as well as over four thousand greeting cards, and four music albums. Although she does not license her characters to be redrawn or adapted, she has herself designed—for various companies—calendars, wallpaper, bedding, stationery, paper goods, clothing, jewelry, and plush toys.

"Little Pookie, young anthropomorphic pig of other Boynton adventures, is told that it is time for bed. And so begins a typical bedtime dialog between mother and little one. Mother finds the hiding Pookie. He then chooses between two pairs of pajamas—half from each—brushes his teeth, hides under the covers for a surprise, and receives his three kisses goodnight. Brief rhymes, with parenthetical comments, lead to the peaceful tucking in. The final pages in this board book are filled with love, just right to read before sleep. The simplicity of the text is complemented by the deceptively simple colored drawings. Few props are needed to follow the actions shown sometimes in vignettes and in two double-page scenes. The focus is on the expressive faces and the obvious affection between mother and child."

有一个顽皮的孩子看到这种情况，他用讽刺的语气说：“喂，大家看见了没有？这家伙还以为他腰带上挂着宝剑呢。这样看来，或许是真的王子也说不定呢。” 旁边有一个孩子，好像是这群孤儿的首领，他接着开玩笑地说：‘对！对！一定是真正的王子，让我们大家来向他敬个礼吧。” “嗯，好，好，大家向王子殿下敬礼！” 在淘气首领一声号令之下，孤儿们都扮着鬼脸，向王子敬了个礼，接着都哈哈大笑起来。有一个小孩子，突然使劲推了王子一把，王子摇晃了几下差点儿摔倒了，等到他站稳脚步的时候，便怒斥道：‘好，你们等着瞧吧，明……明天，我就把你们这些孩子，都关进监牢里面去！” 孤儿们只想逗逗他，开他玩笑而已，现在听见他这样怒骂，也真的来气了。淘气首领大叫道：“嗨，大家来教训他一顿！” 于是，孤儿们冲向王子，四面八方的拳头像雨点般落到他身上，个子高的还打王子的脑袋。打不着的人，就在后边大声喊叫着助威。
