《現代奧運趣聞報道(學生用書)》雙語教材注重教育理念和方法的運用,強調學生學習的社會性和情境性,注重學生對知識的主動建構過程。在教學內容和教學活動安排上,鼓勵學生協作完成課堂和課後活動,體驗獲得新知識的過程和樂趣,引導學生從被動的知識接受者轉嚮積極主動建構和加工者。
《現代奧運趣聞報道(學生用書)》雙語教材以時間邏輯順序,圍繞奧林匹剋的主題,共設14章,每章設計一般包括2個模塊:聽說模塊和閱讀模塊。聽說模塊配套有錄音和錄像及教學課件。同時,教材設計包括3個階段性情景活動章節。其形式主要有“今天我當新聞播報員”“趣事Tableau”等,還包括原創的情景活動設計“申請奧運現場演講”等。
