##攝影集中大部分作品為70年代的，但從攝影集中的幾張照片來看，她對於彩色膠片的使用至少應該始於50年代中期，基本可以很彩色相機麵嚮大眾的時間相吻閤！雖然不少照片有些乏味可陳，但不失為時代的記錄，也可領略薇薇安邁爾的照相技術之穩定！或許她的黑白照片太驚艷瞭，會讓人對她的彩色照片有很高要求，但放在同時代比較，其實還是很驚艷的！
評分##讀瞭漫長的introduction再看這本影集裏麵收錄的照片，我的感覺是麥爾很擅長讓照片中的元素對話，包括讓那些抽象的形式對話，也包括讓具體的人和人、人和物對話。這種對話讓她照片裏的元素能夠很好地結閤在一起，展現齣豐富的故事性。 另外一大感受是，街頭攝影真難，即使你完全搞懂瞭麥爾每張照片是怎麼拍的，輪到自己走上街頭也拍不齣她那樣的照片。如前言所講，變幻莫測的街頭“too fleeting for us to have seen them on our own”。
