作者简介

Emily Arnold McCully is a children's author who was born in Galesburg, Illinois, in 1939, but grew up in Garden City, New York. She attended Brown University and Columbia University.

Among the awards she has won, Ms. McCully has received a Christopher Award for Picnic, and the Caldecott Medal for Mirette on the High Wire.

谈到读书对孩子的影响，首先，我觉得读书是孩子的一种娱乐方式。现代的孩子们学习任务很重，面临着较大的竞争压力，孩子们特别需要娱乐活动来缓解压力。阅读有趣的课外书也是一种放松，孩子们看书不是为了再接着“上课”，不是为了单纯的学习而去看书。在大多数情况下，书籍成为孩子们的一种娱乐工具。比如我的孩子就很爱看名人幽默笑话、寓言之类的书，晚上睡前泡脚的时候，他会捧一本此类的书，一个人看得哈哈大笑，看到他那开心的样子，我们也很开心。当然，我们作为父母也应理解孩子，不要硬把阅读发展为一种单纯的教育工具，如果是这样的话，孩子对阅读的态度就会像对待课本一样了，也就失去了那种轻松自愿阅读的乐趣。

第一种是“冷手”是某个随机的人，可能是守夜人中失踪的一名游骑兵。因为他称呼山姆为“兄弟”，所以他可能是或者曾经是一名守夜人。不过这个人身上明显有一些非自然特征，这是反驳他并非普通守夜人的主要原因。第二种看法为“冷手”即是“最后的英雄”，前去寻找森林之子（卷一，chapter24布兰POV）。但是这种观点过于神秘玄妙，飘忽不定。 最为读者认可的是第三种观点——冷手的真实身份是班扬.史塔克。现在的他很可能是森林之子的代理人。他的手是黑色，如同尸鬼的颜色，很有可能为异鬼所导致，但是森林之子让其摆脱了异鬼的控制。反驳该观点的理由是，根据山姆把布兰留给冷手后看出，布兰并不认识冷手。此处也可以解释为，同以一个正常人的形式活着的时候比较，他的容貌已经发生了巨大的改变。
