内容简介

This pack, which is designed to start children on the path to reading, contains the first eight Very First Reading titles, workbook with parents' notes and a link to and advice on using the Teach your Monster to Read computer game. The books introduce the letter sounds in the order normally used in schools, using the synthetic phonics system, and the workbook provides follow-up and consolidation activities for each book. The Teach your Monster to Read game, which is available free on the internet, was developed by The Usborne Foundation, a charitable organisation.

The titles in the new "Usborne Very First Reading" series, designed for younger children to introduce them to reading together with their parents. Parents and children take turns to read from the page (the text clearly marked for who should be reading) and as the books progress in the series the adults read less and less and the child more and more. There are puzzles at the end to check the child's understanding of the text and guidance notes for the parents. Beautiful illustrations help to motivate beginner readers.

很好的书，在京东购买很划算。绘本是用连贯的图画与相对较少的文字(或无文字)互相结合来传递信息或讲述故事的图画书。与普通图画书不同，“绘本中的图画是作为故事内容在每一页出现的，并且对故事完整性有着不可或缺的作用，图文互相依赖并互为影响”。由此可知，绘本不仅迎合了儿童的阅读心理，而且能激发儿童的阅读兴趣，再加上故事简短、意义深刻，是儿童早期阅读的最佳选择品。
