作者简介

Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

The story is rather long for young readers, and somewhat old-fashioned in writing style, but the entertainment value has not lessened despite its age. The book is newly released with an audio CD that contains two versions of the narrated story, one with page-turn signals and one without, which provides a new way for readers to enjoy a classic character in action. A useful addition to the early elementary classroom, whether it be on the bookshelf, as part of a listening center, or just to play aloud for the class as a group. 书买回来自然是需要读的，但是渐渐的我发现，读书的速度往往是赶不上买书的速度，直到现在书橱里依然有好几套书还没有与我有过“亲密接触”，有时候越放越不想读了，面对这样的书，自己心里也很愧疚与自责，怪自己当初就不应该草率的买回来，又对人家置之不理。好在我的书八成是都读过的，不然买书只是为了摆设，那就真成为附庸风雅的人了。

读书可以分两种，一种是读有实用性的书，多是为了应付考试的那种；另一种是只为慰藉心灵，寻得精神享受的书，而我说的读书是指后一种的闲书。喜欢读书的人，一定把读书当成一种兴趣与习惯，他也一定是一个乐读者，如果三日不读书就衍生日子苍白，心灵空虚、知识匮乏之感，如同吸烟者犯了烟瘾般的痛苦。

但是书只放在书橱上是一种形式，藏在内心里，藏在脑海中，然后运用于工作、生活才能称得上是真正的藏书。说白了藏书其实就是在储备知识与快乐，书应该是越读越薄的，把从书中得来的越来越多知识合理的释放出来，才是我们买书、读书、藏书的真实目的。

读书可以净化心灵，亦可改变人生。这里我还要说一个观点，那就是读书人往往一味的追求精神的富足，而忽视了身体的健康。“读书养心，锻炼强体”，因此我希望大家不要因为读书而忽视了身体的健康，如今的很多近视、腰椎、颈椎不好的病都是因为上学时候长久不良的坐姿引发的。古人云“读万卷书，行万里路”，只读书不行走，真的是人把书读死了，甚至会造成书把人读死。
