　我們的傢譜“永春堂”裏，不但記載子孫人數，帳房先生更是忠心耿耿，每年各房子弟的道德品行收入支齣更是一筆一劃寫得清清楚楚。我生長在這樣一個傢庭裏，照理說應該是人人必爭，傢傢必買的童養媳，其實不然。這拿《聖經》上的話來說，就是——我的父母是葡萄樹，我卻不是枝子。拿我自己的話來說，就是——算命先生算八卦，一算算到中指甲——我這個敗傢女，就這樣把傢産一甲兩甲的給敗掉瞭。　　自我齣生以來，我一直有個很大的秘密，牢牢的鎖在我的心裏，學會講話之後，更是守口如瓶，連自己的親生父母，也給他們來個不認帳，不透露半點口風。我有什麼不可告人的事情，使得我這麼神秘呢？我現在講給你一個人聽，你可彆去轉告張三李四，就算你窮不住瞭，齣賣瞭我這份情報，我這樣一個隻有三毛錢的小人物，你也賣不齣好價錢來的。我再說，自我齣生以來，就明白瞭我個人的真相，我雖然在錶麵上看去，並不比一般人長得難看或不相同，其實不然透瞭。　　“我——是——假——的。”我不但是假的，裏麵還是空的，不但是空的，我空得連幅壁畫都沒有。我沒有腦筋，沒有心腸，沒有膽子，沒有骨氣，是個真真的大洞口。再拿個比方來說，我就像那些可怕的外星人一樣，他們坐瞭飛盤子，悄悄地降落在地球上，鬼混在這一批幸福的人群裏麵，過著美滿的生活，如果你沒有魔眼，沒有道行，這種外星人，你是看他們不齣，捉他們不到的。我，就是這其中的一個。　　我並不喜歡做空心的人，因為裏麵空蕩蕩的，老是站不住，風一吹，旁人無意間一碰，或是一枝小樹枝拂瞭我，我就毫無辦法的跌倒在地上，爬也爬不起來。我自小到十四歲，老是跌來跌去，摔得鼻青眼腫，彆人看瞭老是笑我，我彆的沒有，淚腺和脾氣倒是很爭氣，隻是一跌，它們就來給我撐麵子。十四年來，我左思右想，這樣下去，不到二十歲，大概也要給跌死瞭，如果不想早死，隻有另想救命的法子。
