內容簡介

　　《高等學校翻譯課程係列教材：漢英句法翻譯技巧》的使用對象主要是翻譯專業學位研究生（MTI）、文學翻譯方嚮和翻譯理論與實踐力嚮的研究生、英語語言文學專業和翻譯方嚮本科三四年級的學生、翻譯學院或翻譯係的本科生，也適閤其他學習翻譯的學生使用。詞法翻譯、句法翻譯的基礎扣好，再轉嚮其他層次的翻譯就比較容易瞭。

作者簡介

王憲生，鄭州大學外語學院教授，翻譯學科學術帶頭人。兼任教育部高等學校英語專業教學指導委員會委員，河南省翻譯協會副會長，《鄭州大學學報》哲學社會科學版英文譯審。從事翻譯實踐與教學10餘年，曾發錶期刊論文20餘篇，齣版各類翻譯教材及譯作10餘本。

例10. 我們中國人把“吃”跟“福”聯係在一起。
這個“把”字句錶現的不是把某一個物體移到另一個地方，而是把兩個不在一處的物體（有形的或抽象的）移到一處。這類的句子翻譯時可用復閤賓語或介詞短語作狀語的結構，無主句可用被動語態。
We Chinese tend to associate (or link) “eating” with “good fortune.”
類似的例子還有：
把現代科學成果與傳統農業技術精華相結閤。Modern scientific achievements are combined with the essence of traditional agricultural technology.
豈能把理想與現實混為一談？ How can you confuse ideal with reality?

　　2. 跳讀非謂語動詞短語：我們來看第一段第三句。首先跳過前麵的非謂語動詞短語，找齣主乾：the island belongs to Great Britain and has a population of a few hundred (該島是英國領土，人口大約幾韆)。然後再來理解前麵的非謂語動詞短語：Discovered by the Portuguese admiral of the same name in 1506, and settled in 1810（這個島嶼是在1506年被一個名叫Tristan da Cunha的葡萄牙海軍上將發現的，1810年開始有人居住）。通過這樣分解難度，我們讀得輕鬆，理解得準確。
