《英语教学法(下)》是北京外国语大学应用英语学院同英国文化委员会(BritishC0uncil)合作,经过7年编写,3年试用而推出的一套高级英语自学教程。“‘专升本’高级英语自学系列教程”是为具有中级英语水平的英语爱好者专门设计的,对已经学过两年英语或已经取得大学英语4级证书的读者尤为适用。本教程以语言、文化和情景为主线,融听、说、读、写、译5项技能于一体,通过各种学习任务使学习者获得用英语进行实际交流的能力。
本教程的特点是适用于自学,每项学习任务都有反馈和参考答案。其中的3本《成功指南》则是为学习者提高自身的素质,如自主学习能力。良好的学习习惯和技巧等而专门设计的。

This is a game designed to practice the comparative form of short adjectives, it is bestdemonstrated by the teacher first in a plenary session, showing the sort of questions thatcan be asked, that is, questions with the comparative form of the short adjectives inthem. One student could be asked to think of an object and then the teacher could askthe sort of questions that the students have to ask: for example, Is itlarger than a tele-vision ? Is it heavier than a book ? Is it longer than the table ? Is it softer than afootball ? etc. If a student thinks they know what it is, they can ask: Is it a ... ?Then, once the students have got the right idea about the sort of questions they canask, they can be put into groups of about six. One student must thinkof an object andthe others must ask questions in turn. If a student thinks he knows what the object is,he can ask immediately, Is it a... ? If hes right, then he will be the next one to thinkof an object. If hes wrong, then he must miss his next turn to ask a question.. Thegroup could appoint a secretary each time to take notes on the questions asked, and re-cap after every fifth question. For example, So, its smaller than a television, itsheavier than a book, its shorter than the table, its harder than a footballi its cheap-er than a bicycle. Can anyone guess what it is ? There should be a maximum number ofquestions asked, say twenty for example, then the group should give up and the studentthinking of the object should tell them what it is.
